I’m leaving on a jet plane . . .

In less than thirty hours, I am flying to California.  I ought to be sleeping right this second, but I had to fold socks and write blog posts and read a couple of blogs . . . and all that was after I finished working at midnight.  Oh, and before that, we went to a “Community Group,” affiliated with our church, Mars Hill.

I absolutely dread the thought of entering a small group of people, but always find that once I do, I enjoy meeting new people.  I used to be one of those really awkward people who couldn’t think of a thing to say after “hi!  I’m Melodee!” but I can make small-talk quite easily these days.  I have turned from one of those people who disclose too much information upon the first meeting into one who gleans a lot of information without spilling my life story.  I think that’s better.

Good grief, I am rambling.  That’s because it’s 1:40 a.m.

Anyway, it was nice to meet new people.  Also, it was funny to be one of two old married couples with kids.  Most of the group was comprised of young couples without children.

Right before the Community Group meeting, I was working from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Before that, I took my daughter to the Dollar Store to buy craft supplies.

Before that, I went to Costco.

Before that, I took kids to school.

Before that, I was asleep.

Before that, I was at this computer.

And now you know.  For the record, television after 1:30 a.m. is awful.
