Don’t tell me things will get worse . . .

Four years ago, I wrote a post called “Don’t Tell Me Things Will Get Worse.”   Yesterday, it appeared at 5 Minutes for Parenting.  You can read it by clicking here.

I still mean every word I wrote.

Just in case you wondered.

  1. I love it when people say “How old are your kids,” and I reply “13 and 15.” The usual response is “Oh wow, you’re really in for it, huh?” My response? “They are delightful at every age. Teenagers are a ton of fun. I love hanging out with them.”

I totally agree with you, Mel. I don’t understand why people are so negative about kids, especially people who have them!

  2. And another thought: Maybe their expectations of bad stuff are part of the reason the bad stuff happens, ya know? Maybe if everyone EXPECTED their kids to behave, and paid attention to their friends, and refused to let them push them away as they got older, they’d have great kids…like I do. 🙂
