I wrote a post about the start of school (in a week! where has the summer gone?!) at the LargerFamilies.com site. (Click over there for that one!
By the way, I was accused of “shameless self-promotion” not so long ago, but kind of made me laugh because, if anything, I’m terrible about tooting my own horn . . . which now makes me sound falsely humble. Which reminds me of the song:
Oh, Lord, it’s hard to be humble
When you’re perfect in every way
I just can’t wait to look in the mirror
I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me . . .
(Something, something, I can’t remember the words . . . oh well, never mind.)

You’re killing me girl! lol

To know me is to love me – I must be a hell of a man (or woman!) Oh Lord it’s hard to be humble, but I’m doing the best that I can! Just thought you needed the rest of the words!!!

Do we really care what anyone thinks?? I mean, our blogs are supposed to be our “personal” — albeit very public — space. I went thru such a fiasco with a bunch of people at my site not too long ago that I guess I’ve become somewhat cynical. It almost ruined my love for writing…but honestly, I don’t think there’s anything that could completely KILL that. Tho it did take some time to heal from it. I think I’ve been blacklisted forever from “the group” and that’s ok…I survived without them before they ever came a-visitin’…and I’ll survive without ’em now. No one should ever have the audacity to tell someone else how to write.

Mel! I’m quitting the daycare and starting to watch a child in my home. I’d love ANY wisdom you’d like to share from your daycare-kid experiences.

Mac Davis. Yvonne beat me to it. We used to sing it to each other when the boys were still kids.

Toot away woman! (Oh, that so did NOT come out right…)
I think it’s your blog and you should definitely point people in the way YOU want them to go, especially if it’s another blog of yours.
I used to sing that song too, but alas, I forgot the words too. Thanks to you and Yvonne, I can torture my kids with it!
