Countdown

Fiesta! begins in eight hours and thirty-nine minutes.  I just finished typing up the last form and tending to the final details.

Hooray.  Tomorrow is the beginning and thus, the ending will be along shortly.

Maybe I’ll even remember to take a digital photo of the decorations.  Then again, I hope I remember the basics, like . . . oh, I hope I remember to wear pants and brush my teeth before rushing down to the church at 8 a.m.  Details!  At this point, it’s all about details!

Happy Monday!

  1. It will go great.

Why? Because you love children, and the whole point is (i always lose what the point is when i’m in the middle of it) that God loves them too, and you want to make sure they know that.

So, if a cactus falls over, or no one seems to notice your hard work, or someone cancels at the last minute YOU will know that that is just a minor thing.

And remember…after the Fiesta, the Siesta!

    Ole’!

  2. I’m sure it will be…unexpected, since that’s what times with kids always are! I looked at the theme you linked to. What fun.

    Are you serving horchata?

  3. I like reading about your VBS preparations. To think women were doing that for us when we were growing up, and we never realized all the effort that was going into it. THey made it look so easy. Just like you’re doing for all your children.

  4. Go Mel! You are so allowed to do the happy dance. But if you are still in your underwear, might I suggest the drawing of your blinds… Then dance for all you’re worth!

God really does provide everything we need when we need it. I’m so glad to see that He continued to do so for your VBS.
