  1. My sister and I built our own mini golf course back in like 1987. The holes are still there to this day. I think you should ask them to keep on truckin’ and just go for an inground pool.

  2. That looks like my backyard. They make moguls all over the yard and ride their bikes over them, pretending they are on dirt bikes at the Super Cross.

  5. how fun! And how many children were maimed in the jumping of that hole? Probably none, I would guess. Boy I miss being an indestructible kid.

  7. Mel, There is a great book I recently discovered called Guys Write for Guys Read. This post reminds me of some of the stories in the book. It is essays written by male authors about growing up. It was written to support an organization called Guys Read (www.guysread.com) to increase literacy amongst boys. I know it is for boys but I loved it. Except for a few essays that make me too aware of what my son is going through with puberty, I think they are a great window into the souls of our sons, stone-throwing, belching, nose-picking loves of our lives!
