Hey, who stole my post?

I wrote a post last night but I just realized that it has vanished.  What’s up with that?  Granted, it wasn’t the most fantastic post, nor was it controversial (I just cannot bring myself to enter the political fray), nor did I cry or laugh while typing it.  However, it was a post and it’s gone.  I can’t understand that.

So, today is the first day of our week of half-days.  (It’s Parent-Teacher conference week.)  Because of half-days, my kindergartener does not have school at all.  One day down, four to go.  (I miss having my mornings 6-year-old free.  If that makes me a bad mom, so be it.)

We had a super busy weekend.  I told you all about it in the missing post.  I don’t want to talk about it now.  It seems so last weekend.

Also, big news:  I finished reading Freddy & Fredericka and have begun a second reading of The Secret Life of Bees in anticipation of seeing the movie.  After that, I’m going to reread The Road in anticipation of seeing that movie next month.

And, what else?

Today it rained hard.

Today my hamstrings are sore as a result of yard work yesterday.

Today I worked for eight hours.

Today I washed and dried one load of laundry.

Today I did not exercise.

OH MY GOODNESS, I am so boring.  I’ve got a big bowl of nothing here.  Anybody have anything interesting to say?

  1. Have you upgraded recently and this is your first post that you “pre-published”?

I upgraded and ever since the post that I write and set to publish later…disappear.

  3. I’m sure the missing post had lots of fireworks and moments of OH NO! And just because you think something is boring doesn’t mean it is. I know cause I heard this rumor one time that you have been wrong once before. But it was a very long time ago. So may be I’m wrong.

MzEllen, I have not had a problem with the pre-post at all, in fact I LOVE IT!

  4. I just noticed a book about Anne Lindbergh on your side bar that I haven’t read. I’m excited to have found something new about her! I’m currently re-reading War Within and Without.

I saw Secret Life of Bees on Friday. Apparently it follows the book very closely, but since I read the book two years ago it was a brand new story to me. One of the advantages of having a bad memory.

And, no, you are not boring.

  5. My blog (if I bothered writing these days, LOL) would be far higher on the boring scale, trust me. I just can’t be entertaining when describing building habits of actually keeping our house clean for a whole week! Whoopee! I did laundry, taught kindergarten lessons at home, and watched some tv. Yup, I need help too!

  6. Sorry your post disappeared! I’ve got nothing exciting to toss into the fray. Kids. Laundry. Dinner. Blah. Blah. Blah. And sometimes that’s just the way I like it : )
